Forbes Super Sales 2026 with Peter Strčula: 6 Sales Insights That Improve Any Business

On 29 January 2026 we attended the new Forbes conference on sales and negotiation – the largest event of its kind in Slovakia. The headline speaker was Peter Strčula, a sales trainer with more than 14 years of experience and the founder of the training company BLUVARD.

Why does a software and web team go to a sales conference? Because even the best technology will not help a company that cannot sell. And what we learn about selling and negotiation feeds not only into our own work, but also into the websites and e-shops we build for clients. Here are the 6 ideas from the conference that struck us most.

1. Selling is not pressure, it is help with a decision

The strongest message of the day: a good salesperson does not push, but helps the customer make the right decision. Instead of “persuading” they ask questions, listen and guide. This approach works the same in face-to-face selling as in e-shop design – a website should not push the customer, but lead them smoothly to the order.

2. You defend a price with value, not with a discount

Strčula repeatedly stressed that a race to the lowest price is a losing game. Once a customer understands the value, price stops being the only question. For companies that means communicating clearly what exactly they get – and the same applies to product pages and offers on a website.

What to take away

Selling on price: endless discounts, thin margins, and a customer who leaves for someone cheaper.

Selling on value: the customer understands what they are paying for, is more loyal and less sensitive to a competitor's price.

3. Negotiation is won by preparation

A large part of success in negotiation happens before you sit down at the table. Knowing the other side, their goals and their alternatives is half the result. Improvisation is a luxury you cannot afford in important deals.

4. Questions sell more than arguments

Whoever asks the questions leads the conversation. A well-placed question reveals the customer's real need better than ten prepared arguments. It is the same on a website – a form, a quiz or a well-run onboarding that asks questions sells better than a wall of text.

5. Trust is the fastest route to closing a deal

People buy from those they trust. References, transparency and consistency build trust faster than any technique. On an e-shop that job is done by reviews, clear terms and conditions, and a professional, fast website without errors.

6. Selling does not end with the sale

The greatest value lies in a relationship that continues after the first deal. A satisfied customer comes back and recommends you to others. That is why it pays to invest in care, communication and the systems that help you keep customers.

What we are taking away from the Forbes conference

Peter Strčula confirmed what we see in our own projects: sales and technology go hand in hand. The best results belong to companies that can communicate value and at the same time have the tools – a website, an e-shop, systems – that genuinely support that selling.
